Featuring the Dreamland Band

Dance to the sounds of the big bands with The Dreamland Band. This is a chance to kick up your heels and dance the night away. Try your famous dance moves.  Dance the rumba, samba, cha cha, tango, fox trot, the west coast swing, waltz, polka, jive and rock and roll.  Swing with the Dreamland Band with tunes from the 30’s to the present.  The Laurel Packing House has a large hardwood dance floor allowing plenty of room for your dancing pleasure.

The Dreamland Band is a 17 piece big swing band with two alto saxes, two tenor saxes and a baritone sax, four trombones including a bass trombone, four trumpets, drums, guitar, keyboard, and bass.

Malcolm Green our lead tenor sax player has written full score arrangements of his compositions for the band and the band features  many of his compositions at our performances.

Many of our guest vocalist will be featured during our Ball Room Dance series performances.  Listen to the crooning and jazz renditions of our guest vocalists  Robert Fine, Mr Sinatra Guy himself, Anna Jacyszyn singing her jazz renditions, Alisa Parker with her classic swing style, Byron with his rhythm and blues style and Grant In Concert also know as Elwood from the Blues Brothers Too Band with his spirited entertainment style.

All of the Ball Room Dance Series will be presented at the Laurel Packing House on Ellis Street from 8-11PM
