Reg Tomiye
Leader of the Dreamland Band
Reg has been with the Dreamland Band since it’s inception some 30 years ago. As leader of the Dreamland Band, the band has become the premier big band in the Okanagan Valley.
Reg plays trumpet and flugelhorn with the band as well as managing and contracting gigs and concerts.
Reg also plays trumpet with the Kelowna City Band and has been with the KCB since 1960.
When he is not playing music, he is busy with his farm…Haskap Farms Ltd producing nutrient rich Haskap edible blue honeysuckle berries for the local market.

Malcolm Green
Lead Alto Sax
Malcolm is the musical director of the Dreamland Band. Many of our numbers are Malcolm's originals. As a writer and arranger Malcolm is right up there with the best. As a sax player, Malcolm is one of Kelowna finest. Kelowna and the Dreamland band are lucky to have this level of talent.
Bruce Dougall,
Lead Trumpet
Bruce is a full time RE/MAX Realtor in Kelowna and in his "spare time" he plays
in the Okanagan Symphony and Symphony Wind Ensemble,
the Kelowna City Concert Band,
the Michael Garding Big Band and more.
Bruce is also the founder of the RE/MAX Rockin Allstars, a band of full time RE/MAX Realtors whom to date have raised over $42,000 for BC Children's Hospital.
He is an active supporter of the Arts here in Kelowna.

Tim Watson
Trumpet
Tim Watson freelances as a stage manager / personnel manager / concert coordinator / contractor / trumpet player for several Kelowna and area performing arts organizations. He teaches trumpet at the Kelowna Community Music School and has served as President of the Kelowna City Concert Band since 2008.
Daniel Kim
Daniel's trumpet playing adds to the Dreamland Band's classic big band sound. His ability and smooth tone, match the group perfectly. Dan is active in the Kelowna music scene.
In real life, Daniel is one of Kelowna's top Dentists and owns a Dental practise in Kelowna's Lower Mission area.
Dr. Daniel J. Kim received his dental degree from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Dentistry in 2001. He is the owner of Mission Creek Dental.

Connor Murdock
Trombone
Connor is one of the Okanagan's most sought after Trombone players. His passion for music also includes teaching. He is the band teacher at Kelowna Christian School where his work has produced some of BC's top Award Winning jazz students.

Marty Edwards has been entertaining fans since the early 1970’s, beginning his musical career as a lead vocalist and guitarist for a popular Canadian based country band. Since those early beginnings, Marty has performed to sold out audiences in 9 countries on four continents, and has been seen on Oprah, Jay Leno and CNN.
Whether it’s a good old country hurtin’ song, a rock standard or an emotional power ballad, Marty’s powerful, whiskey-smooth vocals deliver!

Gary Taylor
Guitar
After retiring from a career in Real Estate, Gary has very busy as a highly sought after guitar player in the Kelowna area. Some of this favourite words to hear are: "Take the solo Gary!"
Heather Davis
Bass Guitar
From a former commanding officer of a Canadian Forces unit to becoming an expert gemmologist, it has been an interesting journey for Heather Davis, owner of Stellar Gem Services (SGS) in Kelowna. Building on her original focus of goldsmithing and jewellery repair services including ring resizing, ring prong retipping, pearl restringing, and watch battery replacement, along with watch and clock repair services in the greater Kelowna area, her business has evolved and grown.
In addition to gemmology, Heather is a sought after music writer and arranger. A talented keyboard player and rock solid bass player in all styles of music.

Bob Bachtold
Drums
What about Bob? A former studio musician in L.A. That says it all.
Bob has an impressive musical resume and has recorded and performed with some of the nations top musicians. His style, musical taste and rock solid rhythms are a treat to listen to.
They say the drummer makes the band and according to the Dreamland Band, nothing could be a more accurate. Bob's playing brings the band to to a whole new level. No wonder L.A. loved him!

Leif Johnson
Trombone
Leif started playing Trombone at age 10. He majored in music and performance at Southern Illinois University. There he performed with many groups and ensembles including the marching band which performed at half time for Rams games. He was also a member of the Chicago Chamber Orchestra.
Currently Leif is working locally with Wentworth music and is an active participant in the local Kelowna music and arts scene.

Vivien Farr
Keyboards
Vivien Farr is our keyboard player. She also plays keyboard for the Lake Country Big Band. Vivien is a retired teacher who taught physical education, classroom music and beginner band for thirty years in Kelowna. She is also a long-time member of the Kelowna City Band where she plays percussion (mostly mallets) and more recently joined a local handbell choir.

Keith Robson
Trumpet and Keyboards
Keith grew up in England where he played keyboards in dance bands and trumpet in the De Blah De Blah jazz orchestra. After moving to Calgary he joined the Moment’s Notice swing band as their keyboard player, and Southern Stardust big band where he played trumpet and piano. He has played trumpet with the Foothills Concert Band and the Calgary Concert Band, and now plays in the Kelowna City Band. For a trumpet player, he’s not a bad pianist. He plays a fine trumpet, for a piano player.
